Cancellation Policy

Cancel anytime — no contracts, no penalties

You can cancel your BrightPath subscription at any time, directly from your account page. There are no cancellation fees, no minimum terms, and no questions asked.

What happens when you cancel

When you cancel, your subscription does not end immediately. You keep full access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period — the date you already paid through. After that date, your account automatically reverts to the free plan. You will not be charged again.

Example

If your billing renews on the 15th of each month and you cancel on the 8th, you retain full access until the 15th. No refund is issued for the unused days, and no further payment is taken.

No refunds

BrightPath does not offer refunds for partial months or unused time within a billing period. All payments are final once processed. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at support@brightpathapp.org within 7 days of the charge.

How to cancel

  1. Sign in to your BrightPath account
  2. Go to My Account from the navigation menu
  3. Under the Subscription section, click Cancel subscription
  4. Confirm your cancellation in the dialog that appears

You'll receive a confirmation email immediately, including the exact date your access ends.

Reactivating your subscription

Changed your mind? You can reactivate your subscription at any time before your access period ends. From your account page, click Reactivate to resume your plan without losing any data or progress. You can also upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the pricing page.

What happens to your data

When your account reverts to the free plan, your data — including assessment results, daily logs, and generated letters — is retained. You will not lose your history. Some features (such as generating new letters or accessing state-specific resources) will become unavailable until you resubscribe.
